MIC Keynote Speaker:
John Calvert (US Patent and Trademark Center)

John Calvert of the U. S. Patent and Trademark Center will be the keynote speaker on the National Interest in Renewable Energy, on Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Minnesota Inventors Congress Invention Exposure tm event being held at the Redwood Area Community Center and Fieldhouse in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. The “Opportunities in Renewable Energy Forum” for consumers, inventors, and manufacturers is being sponsored by the Agricultural & Utilization Research Institute, MIC, and the Southwest Initiative Foundation’s Renewable Energy Marketplace.

The event is being held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and includes five presentations focusing on renewable energy. In addition to the keynote speaker, the AURI will highlight information on renewable energy projects being explored and developed by their center. Richard Huelscamp will share his experience of working with heaters that use renewable fuels. Denny Timmerman and Dan Juhl will discuss community wind development projects and progress. Dave Bordson will present information on air emissions and ash regulations. Al Doering will share information on the energy properties and physical characteristics of the many biomass materials that are available.
